THE AQUATIC MUSEUM is a pop-chamber music collective that was founded in 2021 by singer-songwriter Claire Parsons (UK), musician and app developer Laurent Peckels (LU). THE AQUATIC MUSEUM brings together artists from different horizons who are determined to go beyond conventional ways of creating, releasing and performing music.
The collaboration extends beyond European borders bringing together an ensemble of individually accomplished musicians and multimedia artists including in praise of folly viola player Nicole Miller, cellist Annemie Osborne (LU), drummer Jérôme Klein (FR), guitarist Eran Har Even (IL), piano player Luca Sales (LU), the Q-Some Big Band (BE), painter Astrid Rothaug (AT), visual artist Jeanne Held (FR), music producer Charles Stoltz (LU) and game developer Alex Greenwood (LU).

September - Featured Artist - Audrey Cudel
Introducing our September Featured Artist: Audrey Cudel is the technical diver behind the underwater Images of Trapped Air Bubbles. In her own words, Audrey reveals the creative process behind the imagery:
I decided to mix a few things from the past and asked for the approval of my friend Vas, who is part of the duo collaborating on this project. We embarked on a journey that led us to explore three wrecks in a single dive - a testament to our shared passion. Incorporating solo diving sequences from my previous underwater ventures, I weaved moments of solitude into the narrative.
Audrey’s ability to blend elements from different dives into a cohesive narrative showcases her artistic vision and dedication to her craft. Through her lens, the underwater world comes alive, revealing its mysteries and inviting us to immerse ourselves in its beauty.
Audrey Cudel is a Technical Diving Instructor and renowned Underwater Photographer whose style is famous within the Technical Diving community. She founded a renowned Technical Diving Facility in Gozo (Malta) back in 2012 before establishing her own company AUDREY CUDEL TECHNICAL operating worldwide and specialising in Sidemount Essentials & Technical Sidemount, Cave Diving training and related equipment.

Si la peinture est au centre de mon travail, elle s’associe souvent à d’autres médiums tels que la vidéo ou la performance, pour créer des formes hybrides au service d’une narration. Fascinée par les œuvres de Gerhard Richter, d’Edward Hopper et de Francis Bacon, je cherche - au travers d’une peinture qui s’attache à décomposer et à recomposer les espaces et visages - à retranscrire une émotion et une perception.Je m’intéresse à une image qui ne se donne pas à voir de façon limpide, qui se révèle graduellement. L’image est à la fois le sujet et le support de mon travail. Ainsi au travers de jeux de flous et de nets je construits une vision pleine d’intentions, les détails émergeant du flou pour attirer l’attention du spectateur. Le flou est à mon sens le début d’une histoire. Qu’il soit le fait d’un mouvement ou d’une subjectivité, ce flou témoigne que quelque chose advient, signe que l’image est toujours en suspens.C’est cette volonté de travailler une image flottante, changeante, capable de passer d’une représentation figurative à une expression purement abstraite, qui m’a conduite à associer la peinture à la vidéo pour créer une œuvre picturale en mouvement. Mon rapport au mouvement et à l’espace se nourrit lui-même de ma pratique de la danse, notamment du Butô.
Issue d’une formation de scénographie (diplômée de l’ENSAD en juin 2013) je pense aussi mon travail dans l’espace.Conçues comme une plongée dans un espace-temps entre fiction et réalité, mes installations en peintures animées invitent le spectateur à s’immerger dans une expérience sensorielle singulière.
